We made it. Actually, it was VERY smooth sailing as far as our actual flights went. Even got into Oakland 15 minutes early! Who ever heard of such a thing?! Ok, that really just tacked on another 15 minutes to our hour long wait between flights but hey, it was EARLY! You know, I cannot stand the Oakland airport. You land at gate 47 and have to get to gate 10 before your flight takes off. What? You have to go to the bathroom? We'll never make it!! AAAACCCCKKKK!!! The hallways are sooo narrow with a billion people trying to get through. The worst part is I ALWAYS, and I do mean ALWAYS, get stuck behind the family with 8 kids under the age of 8. Where the kids insist on pulling their wheeled luggage on their own and weave figure 8's through this fucking narrow hallway (sooo damned narrow and crap, 20 more gates to go). The parents constantly stop in the middle of said narrow hallway and realize that they are walking too fast (they aren't, trust me) and 6 of their 8 children are way back there (right infront of me). The look on my face says "move these fucking children or I am going to start punting them from here to my gate which is STILL 20 GATES AWAY!!!" So now the massive procreators are going back, against the flow of traffic, to release their precious babies from my grip of certain death. I literally stop and put my hands over my face. In the mean time, The Queen has moved on. The crazy children have now pissed her off and since she's a kid herself she's figured she can just push her way through them and give them dirty looks when they run straight into her (going the wrong way of course) and almost knock her down and all will be just fine. God, I love her! She ended up way ahead of me and having to wait. What a good girl! We finally made it to the moving sidewalk!! I love this part. It's like walking X3. Guess what? Everyone is just standing on it, chatting. AARGH! Stand on the right, walk on the left. Ever heard of that concept? Christ people are so lazy now get the hell out of my way because I'm trying to beat the crazy family with too many children since my luck states that they will be joining me on my same flight (they did too). We made it to San Diego. YAY! Now let's hurry and get off this plane so we aren't behind these devil spawn again! The luggage took a bit to make it but it was part of the first set on the turnstile thingy. Outside. Ahhhh, home. The humid air, the salty smell, the cranky people. I do belong.
Haven't done much since we got here yesterday afternoon. Came home to an empty house, which is really odd. No one else will be here until my sister comes in on the 25th. Suzie will be here on the 29th and I have no idea when my brother will be home. Spent quite a bit of time in the pool. Cleaned cat boxes and swept and mopped. I'm sure you all didn't come here to hear about my weird cleaning habits so I'll leave that for another day.

I so hate Cokeland airport. I'm so jealous you're down in SD for a good while... I need a holiday so badly right now and have to wait almost 3 weeks for my measly 2-week break. Bring me back some sand!!!

I miss you all too. It's funny how leaving does that to a girl!
